Controller
Social Catalyst Lab, University of Zurich, Department of Economics, is responsible for this website. You can contact us at SCL@econ.uzh.ch.
Data We Process
When you visit the website, technical data may be processed automatically, including IP address, date and time of access, requested pages, browser information, device information, referrer URL, and server log data.
When you contact us by email, we process the information you send to us, including your email address, name if provided, message content, and any attachments.
The website links to external websites and social media platforms. If you follow those links, the operators of those services process data under their own policies.
Purpose and Legal Basis
We process website data to provide the website, maintain security, diagnose technical issues, and understand basic use of the site.
We process contact data to respond to messages, coordinate research and collaboration, and keep records needed for administrative purposes.
Where optional third-party media is loaded, such as embedded YouTube videos, we ask visitors to take an active step before the provider receives data from this website.
Third-Party Media
YouTube videos are not loaded automatically. If you choose to load a video, your browser connects to YouTube or Google services, and those services may receive your IP address, browser information, and information about the page you visited.
We use YouTube's privacy-enhanced embed domain where possible, but Google may still process personal data after a video is loaded.
Retention
Server logs are kept only for as long as needed for operation, security, troubleshooting, and legal or administrative requirements.
Email correspondence is kept for as long as needed to answer the request, manage the relevant collaboration or administrative matter, and satisfy record-keeping obligations.
Your Rights
Depending on the applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of your personal data. You may also have the right to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
To exercise these rights, contact SCL@econ.uzh.ch. You may also contact the competent data protection authority if you believe your data has been processed unlawfully.
